Communities in SIP’s Dongshahu sub-district are taking multiple measures to advocate garbage classification among local residents.

 

Qingnianhui Community organized an event on Oct 15 when a team of local volunteers distributed brochures on garbage classification to the residents from several residential buildings and taught them waste sorting skills based on on-site practices. 

 

In the event in Xingchennan Community on Oct 16, a volunteer gave over 20 residents a talk on disposal of household waste, offered them tips on waste sorting and introduced to them the local credit point accumulation mechanism designed to encourage garbage classification.
