Following its tradition, Suzhou Towngas Co Ltd, a natural gas supplier in SIP, recently launched a series of campaigns to mark the World Car Free Day that is celebrated annually on Sept 22 to encourage motorists to give up cars for a day.

 

Over 10 of the company’s employees had a cycling tour on Sept 21 around Jinji Lake in an effort to highlight the pollution of the world caused by car use and persuade more people to leave their cars at home and have a no car day.

Moreover, the company kicked off a campaign the next day, calling on its employees to give up their cars for a week and use public transportation, ride a bicycle or simply walk instead as well as run an environmental protection initiative on WeChat. Over 100 employees joined the campaign.
