Jiangsu Department of Civil Affairs recently released the list of winners of its 2017-2018 Grassroots Social Governance Innovation Awards, a set of awards designed to celebrate innovative social governance mechanisms and systems. SIP's "Smart Governance" system is on the list.

It is reported that the "Smart Governance" system came out as part of SIP Administrative Committee's efforts to simplify administrative procedures and delegate powers to lower-level administrative offices for more efficient social governance. It incorporates on-line modules and off-line service platforms with 300 all-round staff members to offer a wide range of easily accessible public and handy services to local residents.
