Suzhou Industrial Park Urban Renovation & Development Co Ltd (SIPURD), an SIP-based company, broke ground on a project at Xiangcheng District, Suzhou on Dec 29, 2018 to build a new home for Suzhou Center for Disease Control & Prevention (Suzhou CDC).

With a land area of 50 mu (about 3.3 hectares) and a total floor area of nearly 78,100 square meters, the project will boast an architectural style that incorporates elements drawn from classical Suzhou-style gardens, high-degree consistency with the cityscape and an open-door health experience center for better interaction with citizens. It reportedly will cost about RMB 781 million.
