China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group Co Ltd (CSSD), a Sino-Singaporean joint venture dedicated to SIP's development and operation, signed an agreement with the People's Government of Jiashan County in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 30, 2018 to launch cooperation in developing the China-Singapore Jiashan Modern Industrial Park (CSJSMIP) based on a series of good practices introduced from SIP.

The 16.5-square-kilometer project, sitting at the core of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations and the intersection of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces and Shanghai, has great significance in driving the implementation of the country's strategy for an integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region. It will be the home to a number of strategic emerging industries led by intelligent sensing.

According to CSSD Chairman Zhao Zhisong, CSJSMIP will adopt a development and operation mode similar to that in SIP, meaning that a joint venture will be founded for construction and operation of infrastructure and supporting facilities and an administrative committee will be formed for administrative services.

At the event, Zhang Bing, secretary of CPC Jiaxing Committee, and Li Yaping, deputy secretary of CPC Suzhou Committee and Suzhou mayor, jointly unveiled the nameplate for CSJSMIP Development Co Ltd.
