In order to offer better treatment to acute traumas that need fast response and seamless inter-department coordination, SIP Xinghai Hospital formed a joint rescue team in July and now is endeavoring to set up a trauma center. As a preparation for that, the hospital invited Prof. Xu Feng from Trauma Center at First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University to share his experience with its staff on July 25.

At the event, Xu, who is also a leading member of China Trauma Treatment Alliance and Chinese Trauma Surgeons Association and chairman of Jiangsu Trauma Treatment Association, gave a talk on trauma centers' responsibilities and functions, ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) training program developed by American College of Surgeons for medical providers, requisite techniques for trauma treatment and procedures and criteria that trauma centers should adopt.
