Suzhou Dushu Lake Hospital (Medical Center of Soochow University) officially broke ground recently after three years' preparation. The construction project is contracted to Suzhou Industrial Park Urban Renovation & Development Co., Ltd. 

Located to the south of Chongwen Road, north of Chuangyuan Road, east of Songtao Street and west of Xuetang Street, Dushu Lake Hospital is close to the exit of Suzhou Rail Transit Line 2 extension section and the east line of Suzhou Central Ring (Zhonghuan) Speedway. It is planned by the standard of Grade-3 Class-A hospital, to be completed by stages. The Phase I is a major building with integrated functions of outpatient department, emergency department, in-patient department and medical technology department.

Dushu Lake Hospital is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2018.
