The topping-out ceremony of Suzhou Center was held on August 20. Combining shopping mall, serviced apartment, office building and hotel, Suzhou Center is an urban landmark project by Jinji Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park, which is expected to be opened for business in 2017. Officials present at the ceremony included Ong Siew Gay, Consul-General of Singapore in Shanghai, and Wang Xiang, Standing Committee Member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee.

Located in the core area of CBD on the west bank of Jinji Lake, Suzhou Center is an ultra-large project that covers above-ground building and underground space. With a constructed area of 1.13 million square meters on a land of about 167,000 square meters, Suzhou Center embraces seven tower buildings and one large-scale shopping mall. Of the seven tower buildings, four are super-5A office buildings, two are lake-view deluxe serviced CBD apartment buildings, and one is W Hotel. The large-scale shopping mall will be equipped with Olympic Game-standard skating rink, IMAX cinema, large-scale boutique market place, high-end lake-view gym, and about 10,000-square-meter children's playground.

In addition, all the buildings of Suzhou Center are interlinked via pedestrian overpasses, space corridors or underground passages, with convenient access to lakeside park and camphor grove. And Jinji Lake and Suzhou Center's 60,000-square-meter terraced hanging eco-garden will complement with each other in juxtaposed beauty.
