According to the White Paper 2013 on Information Construction and Development that Suzhou Industrial Park government released on June 12, by integrating three networks of education, state-owned assets, and labor and social security, SIP managed to cut the cost of network building and link fees by more than 10 million yuan.

Among ten key information projects launched last year, six are dedicated to livelihood-related digital city management, smart bus, labor and social security information system, intelligent education, local healthcare, and smart traffic.

Meanwhile, more money went to information infrastructure. The Telecom's "Monet" with bandwidth of 40G covers 260 residential communities, "Wireless SIP" sets up 600 WiFi hotspots and over 4,000 AP at most business buildings and public places, the mobile 4G network is put on trial use in SIP, and different operators start to share some base stations. All these make SIP one of the areas with the widest network coverage and the top bandwidth and speed in Suzhou and in the country.
