SIP Administrative Offices Plant Trees for Eco-City

On March 12, the 33rd Tree-planting Day of China, over 200 people from Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Party Working Committee, leaders of SIP Administrative Committee and the staff of administrative offices went to Yangcheng Lake Peninsula to take part in the voluntary tree planting activity in order to make contribution to eco-city, and planted more than 300 trees with an area of more than 8,000 square meters on that day.

"It's a chance for everyone of administrative offices to make effort for the environment of SIP so we organized the voluntary tree planting activity, and on the other hand, we hope the staff of administrative offices can receive education through labor and enhance work style and efficiency in order to do a better job in serving the masses, as well as to encourage more people to take part in greening construction and forming the good atmosphere for planting trees, loving and protecting green among the public to make an effort together to the construction of a eco-city," said Ma Minglong, Executive Member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee.

It is reported that SIP have been paying much attention to the creation of green environment for many years and enlarging afforested area for the roads, parks, squares and idle land to improve the rate of urban greening in order to create a livable eco-city. At present the green coverage ratio of SIP is 45% and numerous indexes have reached National Garden City standard.
