Two SIP-based enterprises’ research institutes recognized as “Advanced Technology Research Institute” by Suzhou government

Suzhou government held a conference on Dec 21 in a bid to push on a program launched in 2017 to offer financial incentives to encourage local enterprises with proprietary brands and those playing a leading role in their industries to set up research institutes to develop advanced technologies. At the event, Suzhou government released its second list of 14 enterprises with their research institutes recognized as “Advanced Technology Research Institute”. Two SIP-based enterprises including HYC Technology, a testing equipment and solution supplier, and Sujing Group Co Ltd, a supplier of energy-saving and eco-friendly equipment and solutions, are on the list.
 
 
It is learnt that Suzhou government unveiled the first list of 20 enterprises of the kind in 2017, and four of the enterprises, including Positec Science and Technology (China) Co Ltd, Innovent Biologics, Inno Light and LY.com, are located in SIP. With the government rewards and subsidies under the program, the research institutes have made remarkable achievements in terms of an increased number of breakthrough inventions and the establishment of many standards in related fields. 
 
At the event, Innovent Biologics, a biotech unicorn that makes innovative drugs, shared its practices in developing its “Advanced Technology Research Institute”, covering R&D input, team building, new product development, international cooperation, etc.
