SMMC Marine Drive Systems (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a vessel components manufacturer in SIP, Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering (IDSSE), a branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shenzhen in South China’s Guangdong province, and Shenyuan (Suzhou) Marine Technology Co Ltd signed an agreement in SIP on Apr 23 to launch cooperation in a wide range of marine technology development and commercialization projects, consulting services and talent training and exchange. 

Under the agreement, the three parties promise to make full use of their technical, capital and human resources to build an integrated industry chain for development and application of marine technologies and related products.

At the signing ceremony, the three parties jointly unveiled the nameplate for the Key Deep-sea Technology & Equipment R&D and Industrialization Base that will be dedicated to developing and commercializing proprietary deep-sea technologies and equipment relying on the their resources.
