SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone (SIP-HMITZ) and Shanghai-based China Eastern Air Logistics Co Ltd (EAL) had a meeting on Apr 15 to discuss details about further cooperation in Suzhou Airline Freight Station (SAFS), a project jointly founded by EAL and SIP Air and Port Logistics Co Ltd in SIP-HMITZ in January to transport cargos from airports to destinations designated by cargo owners.

It is reported that SAFS offers efficient and economical delivery services which, boasting seamless combination with EAL’s airport agency services, can help enterprises in Suzhou and its surroundings save 6 to 18 hours in cargo delivery and cut logistics cost by about 20%.

At the event, representatives of the two parties first listened to the report on SAFS’ operations so far, and then delved deeper into the next steps, including signing a strategic cooperation agreement and strengthening efforts to help SAFS play a bigger part in improving the transportation efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta region.
