Forum on IOT held in SIP

The 2019 Suzhou IOT Ecosystem Cooperation Forum was held at Suzhou International Expo Centre, SIP on Mar 13, gathering more than 400 people including government officials, representatives of 200-plus Internet of Things (IOT) enterprises and IOT users.

The event, themed "Smart Link for Win-win Development", was designed to draw on the wisdom from the whole IOT sector to promote innovative development and application of IOT technologies in different fields.

At the event, executives from China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and China Telecom, one of China's biggest telecom companies, gave talks revolving on edge computing for 5G networks, IOT safety and IOT development tendency. Representatives from several local leading IOT companies introduced their products and services, and shared their experience in technical upgrading and strategies for going public.

China Telecom offered valuable information and experience based on its IOT services in Suzhou, which, covering the city's gas and water supply and traffic systems, factories and communities, not only provide convenience to the users but also save them cost. The company revealed that it is striving to build a larger 5G net in the city to expand its services to governmental, medical, educational and financial services.
