The 2018 China Jinji Lake HR Summit was held at Suzhou Jinji Lake International Convention Centre, SIP on Dec 28, gathering about 40 human resources (HR) experts from the political, business and academic circles and more than 1,500 HR managers from different organizations.

It is learnt that SIP Human Resources Development Co Ltd (SIPHRD) hosts an event of the kind each year since 2016 to offer HR professionals a chance to share their work experience and seek for solutions for common challenges they encounter at workplaces.

At the event, the 2018 Suzhou Report on Staff Salaries and Welfare in Key Industries was released. Based on a survey covering 540 Suzhou-based enterprises, the report records an average annual salary of RMB 85,396 for employees in SIP in 2018, while that for employees in Suzhou is RMB 78,523, indicating SIP's advantages in attracting and retaining talents.

The report also mentions the obviously increasing quit rate in entry-level jobs. According to SIPHRD General Manager Shen Yingyan, they are keeping a close eye on the issue and trying to help find out solutions.

"We elect 'Best Employers' each year, hoping to set a benchmark for HR management in businesses," Shen said.

The event also incorporated a series of discussions where a number of participants gave speeches and exchanged opinions on HR management strategies, relevant laws and regulations, employers' responsibilities and other related issues.
