CSHA CEO talks about gene editing at SIP-STIO's weekly event

SIP Science and Technology and Information Office (SIP-STIO) hosted an information session on Dec 10 when Dr. Ji Maoye, CEO and one of the founders of Cold Spring Harbor Asia (CSHA), gave a talk on gene editing. The event was part of SIP-STIO's long-term program initiated in 2016 to invite professionals from research institutes, enterprises and investment organizations to share their expertise and experience with related local administrative staff on a weekly basis.

CSHA is a subsidiary of the US-based Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory which has shaped contemporary biomedical research and education with programs in cancer, neuroscience, plant biology and quantitative biology.

In his talk, Ji expounded on a series of general concepts in gene science before giving the participants a detailed account of gene editing principles, application and related challenges and controversies.
