The KIT China-Germany AI Innovation Workshop (KIT CGAIIW) came into service in SIP on Nov 8. It is dedicated to helping expand application of AI technologies in industrial production and offering training programs on AI to related business operators, researchers and students.

KIT CGAIIW was jointly founded by KIT, one of the largest and oldest research and education institutions in Germany, and 14 of its partners. KIT revealed that more enterprises and schools are expected to join it in the future.

The event also incorporated a celebration for the 10th anniversary of Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute (GAMI) which, relocated in SIP in 2011, has contributed to a succession of projects between SIP and KIT, including the inception of KIT China Research Institute in SIP in 2014.
