NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute, a research arm of National University of Singapore (NUS) in SIP, kicked off a training program on Nov 5 to offer a set of business courses to over 20 Japanese entrepreneurs from Japan, the United States, Singapore and other countries.

It is reportedly the second time the institute carried out a program of the kind this year. The program is aimed at helping Japanese entrepreneurs gain a better understanding of the economic environment, commercial culture and business operations in China.

The courses cover a series of topics concerning the country's economic development strategies, Chinese enterprises' innovation and development, opportunities and challenges under new conditions, foreign trade and future industrial layout.

The institute disclosed that they are on track to concentrate and incorporate global academic resources to provide more high-end training programs to meet diversified needs for international exchange.
