Suzhou Kintor Pharmaceuticals Inc, a leading anti-cancer drug maker in SIP, broke ground on its manufacturing and R&D base in SIP on Oct 29, hoping the project can help enhance its capabilities of drug discovery and development.

Kintor, started out in SIP's BioBay in 2009, has made remarkable achievements in developing drugs for treatment of prostatic, breast and liver cancers, with a series of clinical trials underway home and abroad.

The base, with a land area of 30 mu (2 ha), will consist of a number of laboratory and production facilities. The whole project is expected to come into service in early 2020.
