The 2018 Industry 4.0 Application Conference was held in SIP on Oct 25, when nine Chinese and German experts and scholars shared their insights on development and application of smart manufacturing technologies with nearly 300 of their peers and enterprise representatives from the two countries.

The event, sponsored by ruhlamat Automation Technology (Suzhou) Co Ltd, an SIP-based subsidiary of German machinery and equipment manufacturer ruhlamat GmbH, was aimed at facilitating exchange and cooperation between Chinese and German manufacturers in employing smart technologies into their production.

Concurrently, an "Offshore Co-Innovation Center" was inaugurated as an exchange platform for downstream smart manufacturing enterprises and related organizations to learn experience from each other and seek cooperation opportunities.
