IYB training program wraps up
The six-day 2018 SIP IYB Training Program hosted by SIP Employment Management Service Center concluded at Hudong Resident Liaison Center recently. A total of 32 startup founders participated.
The program consisted of a set of IYB (Improve Your Business) courses developed by International Labour Organization (ILO) for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, covering marketing, record keeping, buying & stock control, costing, business planning and people & productivity. The training sessions incorporated case analysis, brainstorming, games and other interactive activities to encourage the trainees to adopt systematic and innovative business practices.
It is learnt that the center has been offering free training programs of similar kind since 2009 to local residents and college students who need a hand to start or improve their own businesses. So far, more than 7,000 people have benefited from the programs.
