Jousing AED being equipped across BioBay
A project is going on in Suzhou Biomedicine Industrial Park (BioBay), SIP to install facilities at squares and other places with large flow of people for shared Jousing AEDs, a kind of easy-to-operate portable first-aid device developed by Jousing Medical Technology (Suzhou) Co Ltd in SIP for more timely and efficient treatment to sudden cardiac arrest. The first 11 facilities were all erected on Sept 21, and more expected to complete in the first half of next year.
Jousing AED is China's first domestically developed automated external defibrillator. It can automatically check heart rhythm through a wearable electrode slice and report it to the users who, in case of emergencies, can follow the device's voice instructions and light indications to help the heart restore a normal rhythm.
In emergencies, people can use their smart phones to search and locate a device in the nearest place, and take it out of the electronic container with a key or by scanning the QR code on it.
At the launching ceremony, medics from Suzhou Emergency Center demonstrated the right ways of using the devices, and revealed that more training sessions of similar kind are on their future schedule.
On the other hand, the company is monitoring and managing the facilities through a cloud system it developed for the project.
