At the news briefing held on Aug 28 by Jiangsu Economic and Information Technology Commission and other two local government departments, 70 enterprises in the province were declared "Jiangsu's Models in Fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibilities". Suzhou Towngas Co Ltd and SJEC, a gas service supplier and an elevators and escalators manufacturer in SIP, won the title respectively for their innovation and eco-friendly production.

Both the companies are members of SIP Corporate Social Responsibility Alliance which, founded in 2015, is engaged in guiding businesses in SIP to take responsibilities for the social and environmental impacts of their business operations. The alliance has an evaluation system specially designed for the purpose.

At the event, a representative from Suzhou Towngas Co Ltd shared with other participants their experience and practices in assuming social responsibilities.
