Japanese electronics conglomerate Panasonic Corporation inaugurated Air Conditioner (China) Co Ltd, its 75th member in China and 12th in Suzhou, in SIP on Aug 24.

The 100-year-old corporation, which started operations in the country 40 years ago, is a worldwide leader in the development of diverse electronics technologies and solutions for customers in the consumer electronics, housing, automotive, enterprise solutions and device industries. It reportedly records global air conditioner sales of nearly RMB 30 billion each year.

At a meeting with SIP Party Working Committee secretary Wu Qingwen on the same day, Toshiyuki Takagi, president of Panasonic Air Conditioner Company, revealed that they were attracted by the excellent business environment in SIP and efficient services from the local authority.

The new air conditioner headquarter converges Panasonic's all operations related to air conditioners in China, with excellent R&D, marketing and management teams. It is expected to help upgrade Panasonic's products and services for Chinese customers.
