Jiangsu Innovation and Startup Service Center for Postdoctoral Talents, the first of its kind in the province, was founded in Suzhou on June 27. Jointly initiated by SIP, ORIZA Holdings and the provincial and municipal departments of human resources and social security, it offers a set of services covering policy explanation, training, startup incubation and financing support to help postdoctoral fellows commercialize their research findings.

The center hosted its first event on the same day. A total of 100 postdoctoral students from over 70 schools like Tsinghua University, Southeast University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology demonstrated 146 projects concerning engineering machinery, bio-medicine and new energy and materials to 37 investors. Statistics indicate that tentative cooperation intention was reached for 67 of the projects, with a total investment of RMB 1.705 billion.
