Ten students from Medical College of Soochow University (MCSU) attended the interview by a group of experts at SIP Library on June 19. They are expected to become the first BIOs (Biopharmaceutical Information Officers) in SIP after a series of training sessions.

The BIO Training Program, undertaken by SIP Bio-medicine Library in collaboration with MCSU, is designed to cultivate selected medical students into professional biopharmaceutical information service suppliers to meet the increasing demand of SIP's bio-medicine enterprises and research institutions for industry information. Trainees under the program have chances to learn and practice data collection, analysis, management and compilation skills from experienced mentors at libraries and bio-medicine companies, which will enable them to develop comprehensive information service abilities.
