KIT Sustain awards declared

The winners of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)'s Sustain Awards were declared at its research institute in SIP on Apr 10. More than 100 domestic and overseas experts and enterprise representatives witnessed the moment.

KIT, one of the largest and oldest research and education institutions in Germany, especially specializes in the fields of energy, information technology, grid systems, manufacturing and nano materials. It set up KIT China Research Institute in SIP in 2014.

KIT initiated a three-year supplier development program called "Sustain" in 2015, when two German companies Siemens and Wurth started to offer helps to their suppliers in emerging markets and developing countries in their business management and operation with the support of KIT, Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute (GAMI) and German banks.

The awards are designed to commend those with excellent performance in the program and provide good practices for Sino-German cooperation. Among the winners are many local enterprises that play an exemplary role in facilitating sustainable international cooperation.
