Suzhou International Science Park (SISPARK) jointly with several of its partners hosted an information session at Suzhou Creative Industry Park on Mar 28, when two Wu Wenjun Award winners shared their opinions on AI technologies with some local enterprises' representatives.

Wu Wenjun Award, short for Wu Wenjun AI Science & Technology Award named after prestigious Chinese mathematician and AI master Wu Wenjun, was initiated by Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence in 2011 and is now known as "China's supreme award in smart science and technology". An award ceremony is held each year.

At the event, Zhang Wenqiang, assistant dean of Robots Research Institute at Fudan University and second prize winner in 2015, gave a talk on "Development and Application of Key Technologies for Audio-Visual-Perception-Based Service Robots". Yao Xinwei, associate professor at Zhejiang University of Technology and first prize winner in 2012 delivered a speech entitled “AI Application in Specific Sectors".

The event received positive response from the enterprise representatives, who said it helped them acquire a better knowledge of the latest cutting-edge technologies. According to SISPARK staff, more events of similar kind can be expected later.
