CSPU members greatly drive energy saving and emission reduction in SIP

SIP Administrative Committee released the 2017 List of Top 10 Enterprises with Remarkable Contribution to Energy Saving and Emission Reduction on Jan 18. Three members of CS Public Utilities (CSPU), the public service arm of China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Co Ltd (CSSD), are on the list.

One of them is SIP Sino-French Environmental Technology Co Ltd. Its "Wet Sludge to Biomass Fuel" project that went into operation in 2011 has helped SIP reduce coal consumption by over 70,000 tons, carbon emission by over 180,000 tons, sulfur dioxide discharge by over 1,400 tons and solid refuse by about 60,000 tons.

Suzhou Dongwu Thermoelectricity Co Ltd, the CSPU member dedicated to developing desulfuration, denitration and dedusting technologies, plays a big part in keeping the pollutant emission in SIP under the national ceiling. Additionally, its sludge processing solutions also help reduce raw coal consumption.

Suzhou Towngas Co Ltd received the honor for its customized solutions for distributed energy sources, which allows more efficient energy utilization.
