School and enterprise join hands to popularize AI knowledge

SIP Dushu Lake School (DLS) and IFLYTEK Co Ltd, a Chinese software and hardware developer, recently reached an agreement to jointly found a school and laboratory for the purpose of imparting knowledge on artificial intelligence (AI) to primary and middle school students.

In accordance with the agreement, DLS will provide a 140-sqm venue for the project, while IFLYTEK will offer software and hardware for the new facilities as well as technical support for curriculum development.
According to Zhong Chunyue, director of Science Education Division at DLS, the AI school and lab are expected to come into service first for middle school students in the spring of 2018.
