The Jiangsu-Liaoning Symposium on Economic and Trade Cooperation cum Shenyang-Fushun New Area Promotion took place in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, on Dec 18. It is one of the events during Jiangsu delegation's visit to its cooperation counterpart Liaoning province. The two sides held in-depth discussion on how to strengthen cooperation in future.

Chen Zhenning, vice governor of Jiangsu province and head of the delegation, and Zhang Lei, executive vice governor of Liaoning province, delivered speeches at the event.

Representatives of SIP and Shenyang-Fushun New Area, a priority development area established at the border zone between Shenyang and its neighboring city Fushun, signed Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Cooperation to propel all-around cooperation in the fields of industrial park construction, industrial upgrading, technical innovation, business promotion and talent training.

The delegation members also visited the Shenyang-Fushun New Area Planning Exhibition Hall on the same day, acquiring a better understanding of the goals, functions, advantages and further development plans of the area.
