The preliminary contest of the 1st China Olion Photoelectric Classic was launched at Suzhou Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation District on April 6.

Since the Classic was unveiled, the organizing committee has received a total of 247 projects from home and abroad, of which more than 100 projects came to the stage of review after strict screening. Finally, 45 projects were eligible for preliminary contest to compete for the qualifications for the final, as both the technologies mentioned and business plans reached the standard.

Projects at the preliminary contest were from sectors of high-precision optical instrument, photo-communication, lightshow, laser, image, optical materials and components, nano photonics, green optical source and optical energy and optical sensing, showcasing the latest sci-tech achievements of photoelectric industry.

As the first national contest of the photoelectric industry, the Classic is aimed to promote industrialization of photoelectric deliverables and leap-forward development of China's photoelectric industry.
