Meeting held to solicit opinions on development

A meeting was held in SIP to solicit suggestions and opinions from enterprises with self-owned brands on Jan 20. It focused on such topics as what difficulties those enterprises confront in their development and what should be done to promote artificial intelligence industry and increase the input in R&D and innovation.

Xu Huimin, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, 31 large-scale enterprises in science and technology and modern service industries, including GCL, Gold Mantis, SJEC and others, made brief reports on their development in 2016 and aired their views on the topics.

Xu said that entrepreneurs should strengthen confidence in development and work with concerted efforts to consolidate and develop real economy, adding that enterprises with self-owned brands in SIP should consider earnestly what kind of real economy to develop and how.

He noted that real economy was the foundation and innovative measures should be taken to improve the level of manufacturing industry and that the development of high-end manufacturing industry should be based on the advance of technology and innovation.

Xu also said that in the future, SIP will give firm support to local and national enterprises and provide more resources and favorable policies to encourage enterprises to establish headquarters in SIP and quicken steps of going public. Meanwhile, SIP will continue to improve its work efficiency and service quality, create better environment to retain talents and work together with entrepreneurs for its sustainable and innovative development.
