At present, there are already over 400 innovation enterprises in SIP BioBay, most of which were started up by returned overseas Chinese. Meanwhile, more and more returned overseas Chinese and people of foreign nationalities are involved in BioBay's entrepreneurship and innovation practices, which, however, has brought along the problem of credentials.

The foreign affairs staff of some companies are often confronted with misunderstandings and doubts when they attend to the formalities of visa and residence permit for their colleagues of foreign nationalities.

"We are a new company, can we apply for the Foreign Expert Certificate for our foreign employees?", "Shall the owner of a U.S. passport apply for a visa when going to Korea and Japan to attend business meetings?", "Can unmarried children under the age of 18 apply for the Permanent Residence Permit along with their parents?" are some of the common questions they ask. 

In order to help the companies address these questions, BioBay invited Zhang Minhua, group leader of SIP Entry-Exit Administrative Group (SIPEEAG), and Wang Zhanghui, vice group leader of SIPEEAG, to give a training and exchange session on the formalities of credentials for foreigners, legal red line and hot issues before Spring Festival.

According to a specialist from Ruiyang Biological Technology Co., Ltd., a resident company in BioBay, companies are apt to ignore many specific questions related to the residence and employment of foreigners; this training has provided an opportunity for them to communicate face to face with the authorities in time and solved their personnel concerns.

BioBay and SIPEEAG have also jointly worked out three solutions: firstly, they will hold regular exchange sessions at BioBay; secondly, they will create a professional service WeChat group so that the companies can raise questions at any time and SIPEEAG staff can answer them immediately; thirdly, after the BioBay One-stop Customer Service Center is opened, SIPEEAG will set up the temporary residence registration function for foreigners so as to provide a one-stop solution to the problem of temporary residence.
