The opening ceremony for Afton China Technology Center (ACTC) took place in SIP on Jan 10.

As Afton's new technology and service center following those in the USA, Japan and the UK, ACTC will provide Chinese and global customers with practically valuable solutions to satisfy their demands for technology differentiation.

"The opening of ACTC marks Afton's sustainable devotion to investing in China and the Asia Pacific area," said Sean Spencer, vice president and executive director of Afton Chemical Corporation Asia-Pacific Area, "and more importantly, it will allow us to offer better help to our customers in this area and provide specially designed and time-tested differentiated solutions so as to meet the unique and strict demands of the Chinese market."

"The establishment of ACTC will further give full play to its technical and brand advantages, bring together global outstanding talents, and serve Chinese customers more effectively, which is not only an initiative in favor of Afton's future development, but also an active contribution to SIP's industrial upgrading," said Sun Yanyan, vice director of SIP Administrative Committee.

Sun added, "We will also lay more emphasis on buoying the real economy, regard investment promotion and pro-business ideas as our top vitality, provide domestic and foreign enterprises with professional services, and keep creating an internationalized first class environment for doing business."

Having nearly one century experience in fuel additives and lube oil additives, Afton has remained a backbone power in the industry and is one of the top four additive companies in the world.

Founded in SIP in 2006, Afton Suzhou mainly produces metal working liquids, its annual output being around 10,000 tons, and provides technical support for various oil additives. A decade later, Afton Suzhou has developed into the group's major production and technology center in China.
