Kempinski Hotel Suzhou (KHS) and Suzhou "Kind City" Public Welfare Association (SKCPWA) jointly started a month-long clothing donation on Jan 1 in an effort to bring a warm winter to the elderly and children in the poverty-stricken areas in West China.

A huge old clothing collection box, which was tailormade for the donation, was put at the entrance to KHS's Paulaner Brauhaus to collect the love and care from the public and then pass it on to the elderly and children in want of warm clothes.

In order to encourage participation, the hotel is offering a special benefit to donators who will get a 0.3L free-of-charge Paulaner beer for every donation act.

KHS did publicity among its staff on Dec 30, 2016, when over 60 public-minded persons from the hotel and society joined in the warming-up activity and donated more than 100 pieces of winter clothing.

All the collected clothing will be donated to SKCPWA, which will clean, disinfect, pack and reclassify them before sending them to the poor residents in the western areas.
