With a view to helping Suzhou's integrated circuit enterprises grasp industry trends and market opportunities, Suzhou Integrated Circuit Industry Association (SICIA) held its annual meeting in SIP on Dec 16. Over 150 attendees joined in-depth discussions on hot topics such as industry trends, market orientation, industrial investment, etc.

Li Ke, deputy president of CCID Consulting Co., Ltd., delivered a speech entitled "A Look Into China's Integrated Circuit Industry Trends", briefing on the development trends of the nation's integrated circuit industry from such aspects as industry status quo, government planning and policy orientation.

Cai Jinjiang, secretary general of Shenzhen Smart Home Association, shared his views about the innovation path of chips citing Huawei's Openlife ecology as an example, which broadened the horizons for the city's integrated circuit designing companies that are making efforts to expand their product lines.

Li Qing, director of the Netherlands Hi-tech China Center, expressed his ideas about the cooperative innovation in the integrated circuit industry between China and the Netherlands.

Moreover, TF-AMD's Chen Chuanxing shared his experience and thoughts on packaging and test in a speech "Advanced Semiconductor Packaging Technology and Service". The person in charge of Suzhou-Nantong Science & Technology Industry Park gave a presentation about the industrial park and its policies to link up with Suzhou's integrated circuit industry.

Officially established in March 2002, SICIA has been devoting itself to serving as bridge between government and companies and actively promoting the renovation and development of local integrated circuit industry.

Suzhou has during the past decade developed into one of the integrated circuit areas with the most complete industry chain, highest degree of enterprise clustering and fastest-speed development on the Chinese mainland.

The new secretary general of SICIA was also elected during the session.
