A "24 hour intelligent drug vending machine" attracted attention at the "Smart Health" joint announcement of new products held in SIP recently.

Many people might have had such embarrassing experiences that they suddenly fell ill at night but couldn't get medicine because all the drug stores had closed by the time. The intelligent drug vending machine, however, will offer a new option to the public. 

The new machine is quite similar to the common vending machines both in appearance and operation. Click on the touchscreen and appears on it the drug inventory including medicines for respiratory tract, gynaecology, gastrointestinal tract, ear, nose and mouth, pediatrics, contraception and drugs for external use. Payment can be made via WeChat Pay, Alipay, Mepay and UnionPay. 

The round-the-clock drug vending machine can store 40-50 kinds of medicines, up to a stock balance of 300-1000, and the storage temperature remains at 3℃-30℃.

According to Ju Jinyou, general manager of Suzhou Yao-Shang-Wang Medical Technology Co., Ltd., more of the machine’s convenience functions can be found "on the cloud", where users can access the smart cloud drugstore through a cellphone APP and the online doctors and pharmacists will provide remote consultation and guidance to guarantee accurate diagnosis and medication safety.
