The Sangtian Island IPR Forum cum appointment ceremony for head IPR lawyer of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) was held on the afternoon of August 10 in SIP. The forum centered on discussion and sharing of views on crucial points of IPR affairs in innovation-type enterprises, and in the meantime, six IPR lawyers were appointed by SIP government to help with the construction of patent-guided experimental zone on nanotech industry.

Sangtian Island IPR Forum was jointly sponsored by SIP IPR Bureau and Nanopolis Suzhou Co., Ltd. as a biannual thematic event with the aim to offer a communication platform for innovative enterprises of all fields, IPR service agencies, and government departments, and to promote the embodiment of all the elements of IPR in SIP, and to speed up the integration of IPR with enterprise development. Talks were given by experts at the forum on such topics as "how to deal with abusive use of IPR" , "problems and defects in IPR management", "the legal protection of business secrets", etc., and some hundred technology enterprises took part in the interactions with the experts.
