SIP SMEs Enjoy Over 30 Million Yuan Tax Reduction in the First Three Quarters

After the halving collection scope for SME corporate income tax (CIT) was adjusted from 100,000 yuan to 200,000 yuan in February this year, "Notice of the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation on Further Expanding the Scope of Preferential Income Tax Policies for Small Low-Profit Enterprises", which was issued on September 2, makes it plain that from October 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017, the small low-profit enterprises with an annual taxable income ranging from 200,000 yuan to 300,000 yuan (inclusive) will be levied based on 50% of its annual taxable income, and pay the CIT by the rate of 20%, which is aimed to further relieve their burdens and give full play to the active role of small low-profit enterprises in promoting the economic development and social employment.

According to the state and local taxation bureaus, 4,194 enterprises in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) enjoyed the preferential CIT policies for small low-profit enterprises in the first three quarters of 2015, with the tax deduction up to 31,356,100 yuan, which fully leveraged the support effect of the preferential tax policies on the SMEs. For the next step, SIP state and local taxation bureaus will continue to implement the preferential income tax policies for small low-profit enterprises and duly provide the tax-paying services, ensuring the appropriate publicity, proper service and due implementation of such preferential policies.
