On the afternoon of April 10, the 2015 seminar on Suzhou Industrial Park protection policy on copyright projects was held in Creative Industrial Park, attended by some twenty enterprises of game, animation, creative designing, and software. As a part of the "April 26 IPR Publicity Week", the seminar was aimed to enhance the awareness of SIP software enterprises on copyright protection and to better serve SIP economic and cultural progress by copyright work.

SIP has in recent years been actively exploring the strategies and tactics for copyright protection under the mode of Internet with major work focus on copyright registration, software edition licensing, protective policy, and general awareness enhancement. As a result, SIP has been recognized as one of "national experimental areas on patent-guided industrial zones", "national experimental area on evaluation of major economic and technological IPR", and "the first national demonstration parks on IPR in Jiangsu Province", etc.

To further improve the level of copyright creation, application, and protection, SIP has set up a related leading group to coordinate the work in the whole of SIP, and allocated special fund in support of IPR protection in enterprises. In 2014, the scope of applicants for copyright was further extended from software and animation to textiles, creative designing, and Internet enterprises. Also set up in SIP are the branch of municipal IPR protection center and IPR court, which has formally started handling cases with jurisdiction over utilitarian patents in addition to authorial copyrights.
