The 15th China Regional Medical Equipment Fair & China Rehabilitation Show 2014 held a joint opening at Suzhou International Expo Center on August 29, presenting top medical and rehabilitation devices of 40 categories, including medical imaging, IVD instruments, emergency kits, and orthopedic supplies.

A teddy bear almost the size of a grown-up caught the most attention at Exhibition Hall 3A, for "walking" with the help of a robot. The intelligent robot is developed by a Shanghai-based hi-tech company based on neural plasticity theory and helps training patients with lower limb motor dysfunction. "Each patient needs two to three therapists and most facilities are severely understaffed," explained the company representative. "The robots have been used at more than 20 hospitals and rehab facilities in China."

JC rehab spa is based on Karman vortex flow, which can accurately control the vibration frequency of subcutaneous fat and muscle for the purpose of rehabilitation. With top capacity of 12 people, the series can be used extensively on those suffering osteoarticular, neural, metabolic, cardiovascular, and digestive diseases.

Southwest Medical Equipment produced China's first X-ray machine and started to develop patented products in 1952. They presented a digital X-ray system with U-shaped arm, vertical tablet display, and camera. "Our product is user-friendly and we offer better after-sale service than foreign products," introduced the corporate representative.
