200 Projects Compete to Be 30 Finalists at Jiangsu Entrepreneurship Competition

The 2-day semifinals of the 2nd Jiangsu Technology to Entrepreneurship Competition opened on the morning of August 9 in Suzhou Industrial Park, and 200 projects competed to be the 30 finalists. This is also the semifinal event for the 3rd China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Jiangsu Province).

The provincial competition is jointly launched in March by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Department of Publicity of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, and provincial departments of education and finance. More than 1,900 teams and enterprises signed up for this year's event and 200 made it to the semifinals after quarterly, overseas, and local preliminaries. They compete in six groups of Internet & mobile Internet, biomedicine, new materials, electronic information, new energy & energy-saving and advanced manufacturing.

Zhenjiang Huarong Electronics introduces its public lighting energy-saving control system, which is able to regulate the lighting intensity at public areas according to people flow and peak hours. The indoor map launched by Tuyun Information Technology makes it possible for the users to get the detailed location information inside shopping malls and provides O2O services centering on the current location of the shopper.

 

"The competition is a good chance for us to get more attention and it leads us to potential investors," said Wu Xingyun, project manager of Runxin Medical Technology. The project they presented at the competition is method and equipment for accurate diagnosis of coronary artery diseases, which is among the first in domestic market. In comparison with traditional products, it features high accuracy, easy operation, and low medical cost.

The final of the provincial competition is scheduled for August 28, and 30 finalists will compete in three categories of startup teams, startup and growth enterprises. For each category, there will be one first prize, three second prizes, and six third prizes. The finalists will also appear on a short list of recommendation to the national final.
