Dushu Lake Kindergarten in SIP’s Moon Bay sub-district was designated a “Demonstration Base for Garbage Classification” by SIP Moon Bay Community Working Committee on Oct 16.

 

The kindergarten has scored high in the committee’s monthly evaluations of local organizations’ performance in garbage classification. As a “Demonstration Base for Garbage Classification”, it is expected to help roll out garbage classification concepts and practices to a wider range. 

 

At the inauguration ceremony, the committee gives four trash cans for garbage classification to each of the classes at the kindergarten, and appointed six families as “garbage classification supervisors”. In the following session, a number of children and their parents learnt to sort wastes using picture cards and trash can models.
