Shuixiang Community in SIP’s Huxi sub-district recently launched a series of events in a move to help local youngsters gain new knowledge and skills. In the event on Sept 17, 15 youngsters learnt first-aid skills.

 

In the event, the trainer first gave the youngsters a detailed account of various first-aid skills, such as how to protect themselves and help others under emergency circumstances and how to deal with small wounds in daily life. After that, he demonstrated to them cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating, and offered them help and instruction during their practices.

It is learnt that a series of lectures such as those on safety and laws will follow in the future.
