Authorized by SIP Education Bureau, Dushu Lake Science & Education Development Co Ltd organized a training session on Aug 28 for a number of foreign teachers newly hired under a local program launched in 2011 to recruit foreign teachers on a regular basis to join local foreign language education.

 

 

At the event, three members of the working group for the program gave the new recruits a specific introduction to SIP and its education development, the duties they should fulfill under the program and related evaluation mechanisms.

 

A local police officer explained to the foreign teachers in detail the laws and regulations they should follow when working and living in the country.

 

　　 

Two researchers engaged in study on English language education introduced to the foreign teachers the local course outline and objectives for foreign language education and shared a set of teaching approaches.

 

 

Moreover, three Chinese and foreign teachers shared with the new recruits their experience in foreign language teaching and offered advice on ways of dealing with differences between Chinese and western education.
