SIP Charity Federation (SIPCF) together with several local public institutions, and social organizations hosted an event on Aug 30 when they granted charity fund totaling RMB 1.20458 million to about 300 local high school students and college undergraduates and graduates in need of help in schooling.

The charity fund reportedly was donated by a number of SIP-based enterprises including China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group Co Ltd, Bosch Auto Parts (Suzhou) Co Ltd and Jiuguang Department Store under the “SIP Charity” program. The donators received donation certificates at the event.

The “SIP Charity” program is part of an initiative launched by SIP authorities in 1998 to offer financial support to needy students on a yearly basis to help them finish their school education. SIPCF serves under the program to collect donations and give them to selected students along with other help such as one-on-one assistance and psychological guidance.
