“The University of Sydney Centre in China (UoSCC) in SIP is a research and education hub of Australia’s University of Sydney (UoS). It serves as a bridge for Sino-Australian exchange and cooperation,” UoSCC’s executive director Michael Milne said in a recent interview, revealing that UoS now has about 18,000 international students and 70% of them are Chinese.

UoSCC serves both Chinese and Australian students at UoS. It holds orientations each year to help prepare Chinese freshmen for their study and life at UoS, and runs a series of programs to enhance interactions between Chinese and Australian students and offer them internships and job opportunities.

UoSCC links UoS with Chinese higher education institutions, research institutes and businesses. It organizes a variety of events such as academic conferences, workshops and alumni activities with the purpose of facilitating transnational cooperation between them.

Moreover, UoSCC offers Chinese and Australian scholars chances to share their expertise and seek partners for their research projects.
