Organized by SIP Snow Lotus Education Aid League (SIP-SLEAL), a renowned volunteer team in SIP, the 2019 “Running Youth” Summer Camp kicked off on July 12. A total of 30 students from poverty-stricken families in Suining county, Xuzhou (a city in north Jiangsu province) are scheduled to have a four-day tour around Suzhou in the company of over 70 local volunteers.
It is learnt that SIP-SLEAL provides donations and a variety of volunteer services aimed at helping students with different plights acquire educational opportunities. It runs projects targeting thousands of students in 34 less-developed counties and cities across the country.
China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group Co Ltd (CSSD), the SIP developer and operator, provided fund for the summer camp. The campers will visit a number of local tourist attractions and take part in a series of cultural experience and outward bound activities over the next few days.
