SIP Educational Big Data Application Laboratory (SIPEBDAL) and SIP Digital Learning Laboratory (SIPDLL), two labs that started construction at SIP Teacher Development Center last year, came into service lately, expected to greatly promote smart education in the area.

With a land area of over 400 square meters, SIPEBDAL focuses on development of systems and methods designed to widen application of big data and related technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence in education.

SIPDLL, with a land area of over 170 square meters, boasts a variety of advanced equipment for visitors to experience different digital learning modes that can help greatly improve learning outcomes. It is also a good place for on- and off-line teaching and research activities.

The labs gather accurate data about local schools, covering their faculties, students, courses and daily operations, and therefore provide reliable basis for oversight on local educational activities and resources and decision-making concerning education development strategies.

Moreover, the labs are connected with other local online learning systems to provide more people in and outside SIP with a wide range of options for acquiring knowledge and skills in a more efficient way.
